About
This year, we decided to forge through the summer ourselves. No camps, no classes (except swimming class 30 minutes a week) and 2 weeks of vacation. The husband and I both work – he out in the real world, me at home as a Virtual Assistant. During the year, the kid goes to preschool 10.5 hours a week (16 hours next year!), so this is a pretty big adjustment for us.
This blog is here to tell the tale of our survival (I hope). Ideally, come September, we will have had a summer of fun and friends, love and laughter. I’ll be happy if I still have all my hair and am not in the loony bin.
You can read more about me at my “Don’t Underestimate” blog and at Heather Hinson Virtual Assistance. Thanks for reading!
Heather,
I absolutely LOVE this and am hoping to pick up as many pointers as possible so that I’ll be fully prepared when this time comes for me. I’m looking forward to following your summer adventure.
Thanks, Mira! With a little luck, when the time comes for you, you’ll think I made it all up (except for the good bits
)
I am taking on the same challenge – you are inspiring and hilarious. I’m so glad it’s not just me! Let me know some of your creative and awesome plans and maybe we can reunion with our kids and not get to catch up at all!
Please know I am a big fan and am going to explore the “mud pit” trail soon. I never take mine on errands either!
Love Michelle
Hi Michelle!
Thanks so much! Yes, I’ll let you know where we’ll be out and about and would love to “not catch up”
Let me know how the mud pit goes..
